Meantime I thought of posting all those dresses which did not make the cut to my blog somehow. Either the Client (Read my little sister or even busier little darling daughter) or the Designer (Read Myself) were busy with other things.
Yesterday she was on leave and we had a blast making this collection from the past. Some date back to as old as 3-4 years old as well... yes God has blessed us with bodies that stay in tact and shape for years together(albeit lean but we are quite OK with it as long as we are healthy and happy)
Without much adieu have a look
Cowl pants
Salwar Kameez / Kurtas
First effort at Pintuck
Actually there are more .. few of MIL Blouses, Mother's blouses, DD's traditional Pattu Paavadai (Silk Skirt &Top) will post them someday....
Nice clothes! Your daughter is cute!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how u handle satin(fabric)? I have a tough time working with it. The threads tend to get pulled by the machine feed dogs. And the fabric gets a few runs in it.
How do you avoid it?
Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhile stitching satin fabric i use a brand new needle of size 11 or 14 and a tension of 3 (upper thread)
Try adjusting the tension of your machine, play with it using scrap fabric to find right tension of your machine to suit various types of fabrics.
Oh My GOD!!!!! These are just gorgeous!! I wish I had the patience to do all this.
